Batty
Aden had to make a bat for school out of items we already as around the house. So, I whipped out the sewing machine and one black sock, two pipe cleaners, some stuffing, a piece of red yarn, and two googly eyes later we had a stuffed bat!! It is sooooo cute and my kids were very impressed that I could pull off something "Grammy Worthy"! I was proud of my 20 minute master piece!! Aden was very helpful too!

Science??
Sometimes we get a little silly when we are doing our school work. I found Ally and Aden with all the science gear out and on. Were they studying science? No but who doesn't wear googles while finishing their English assignments??

Report cards are in!
I am happy to report that I have received my kid's report cards and they both got straight A's!!!! This is a first and I am very excited. We weren't quite sure what the grades were going to be. I had lost track and then we were out of town for the 4th quarter parent-teacher conference and so I didn't know what to expect. But they aced their end of year tests and made us proud. Ally also scored above average in all her CRT's. Now the pressure is on for next year! :)

Lunch time home school style
Ally and I needed to get out of the house one afternoon so we go done with our school work and headed to Tivoli Village. We had yummy hot chocolate and a sandwich at the cafe and then went shopping at Charming Charlies. I love spending so much time with Ally and I am grateful for beautiful days like this that we get to share together. Just another perk of home schooling!

Ally the scientist
Ally's favorite subject is Science and she LOVES to the do the experiments and hands on activities. Here are a few cute photos of our last project on erosion.
The day we did the project was cloudy and beautiful. There is no better way to study science than do it in the comfort of your own back yard on a cool Autumn day!
The googles were probably over kill but doesn't she look cute!
