Lunch with Grammy

On Thursday, Grammy (my mom) came over to show us her new Jeep Cherokee and go to lunch.  Her new ride is super sweet!  Now I just have to convince her to put it in the dirt!!!

We went to lunch at The Edge by my house and then to one of our favorite shopping spots, Rod Works.  My mom got a few things for her front door wreath and Ally got some new frames and mirrors for her room.  Aden even found a set of old fashioned looking keys that he plays all sorts of imaginary games with.  I left empty handed but we went to see Barb Fairbanks and I did get a quilt display rack from her.  She is in our ward but not for much longer...she and her husband get to move to Hawaii and they are selling a ton of their things so they don't have to ship them.  She is an event planner/interior designer which means she has a lot of great things just laying around.  I got the quilt display rack so I can show off all of the beautiful things that my mom has made us all over the years!

I didn't snap any photos of the day but I do love the time that my kids and I get to spend with my mom.  One of the blessings of homeschooling is that my kids don't miss out on these fun times with family!

Look out Tiger Woods....Here comes Aden Schiemer

Aden has found his sport and it is Golf!  He loves it and wants to practice ALL the time.  Grandpa decided he should have his own set of clubs and so we wen to the sore to pic out the perfect set.

He is one lucky kid!  Not only does he have AWESOME grandparents but they spoil him too!
The next day, Aden still had the golf bug so we went to the mini golf course to have a little fun!

What is mini-golf without a little U-Swirl afterwards?

Lunch time home school style

Ally and I needed to get out of the house one afternoon so we go done with our school work and headed to  Tivoli Village.  We had yummy hot chocolate and a sandwich at the cafe and then went shopping at Charming Charlies.  I love spending so much time with Ally and I am grateful for beautiful days like this that we get to share together.  Just another perk of home schooling!
