Nevada Day Jeeping!

What better way to spend Nevada Day than to hit the trail?!?!

Jay had a "small" problem on the trail but he was able to get home okay.

Night Trails

One of my new favorite things to do is rock crawling at night in the Jeep.  Check out these cool pics.....

The next two pictures were taken by my brother, Mike Grimmett.  He is a great photographer and I want to be just like him when I grow up.

I love my crystal logo but it doesn't always show up that great in photos.

Aden loved being in the dark and exploring with a flash light.

Ally, on the other hand, preferred the safe and warm interior of the Jeep.

Moab is just 6 weeks away!!!

2013 Easter Jeep Safari

Saturday, March 23 - Sunday, March 31, 2013

Easter Jeep Safari consists of trail rides, mostly day long trips, departing from Moab Utah throughout the 9 day long event. Full information about the Safari is available in a colorful newspaper. Click here to request paper. The official event is hosted by the Red Rock 4-Wheelers Inc. one of the the local four wheel drive clubs of Moab. Participants provide their own four wheel drive vehicle, take care of their own food and non-alcoholic beverages for the trip. Suggested essentials, beyond plenty of water, include sun protection, and layered clothing in case of changing weather circumstances that are always a possibility during the spring in southeastern Utah.

I am so excited for the Moab trip coming up!  We are leaving on Mar 21st and taking the RV and Jeep. This will undoubtably be one of the best weeks of my entire 2013!  Here are some of my trail picks...

Phone time with Dad

I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with my Dad. Why is this blog worthy??? Up until about a year and a half ago we never really talked much. Don't get me wrong!  He has always been a great father. He is super supportive and I always have known that he is there for me. But now that we have a few hobbies in common, he is down right fun. Or maybe I'm finally fun. Either way, it is awesome to be able to share our excitement about Jeeping and Ham radio. I could almost say that I was the son he never had but he has a son and he is pretty rad too. I guess that makes me the second son he never had!  :).

Jeepin' 9/17/11

Even though we were exhausted from the few days before (our partying with Switch), we got up super early and hit the trail with the Jeeps.  I can't wait to have one of our own.  We always have so much fun and the kids LOVE it!
Some things you can only see if you have a Jeep to take you there.

The two beasts

A little nervous!

Mike actually drove through the lake!  He is totally nuts!

I love exposing my kids to the beauty of nature.  Nothing is more gorgeous, exciting, and intriguing to a child than simply exploring the world around them.

Jeepin Day Two - Labor Day Edition

After not being totally convinced that I like to go off-roading "Rubicon" style, I decided to give it another chance.  We headed out early to Wheeler Pass and made a day trip of it.  The kids and I all had a great time and now I am pretty sure that I want....no need a Jeep.  Not only did I love the Jeep part but I love spending time with my family and enjoying the outdoors with my kids.  Those are good enough reasons for me!  I will buy a Jeep in the name of quality time with my family and children.  (Oh yeah and Jeeps kick a lot of a**!)

Here are some cute photos of the day...

It was really cold but it felt good to shiver in the middle of summer!

I think my mom is about to yell at my Dad for being too crazy.....again!
This photo would look so much better with a girl in the tribe!

All tuckered out!
